Texas native Kimberly Hartman knew at a fairly young age that fashion was her true calling. Hartman earned a degree in fashion marketing from the University of North Texas and went on to work in NYC’s fashion industry representing leading designers such as Paul & Joe, Miguelina, Petit Bateau, Rozae Nichols, Velvet, and Rachel Roy. While traveling throughout India, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand, she developed the idea for JADEtribe jewelry to showcase local artisan pieces from these regions. This line of indigenous handcrafted jewelry launched in February of 2009.
