Ten Thousand Things Back Ancient Bead Spiral Earrings

One of my favorite accessories from Ten Thousand Things is their Small Back Ancient Bead Spiral Earrings. They are the perfect match to go along with your favorite black evening dress. These hand-made earrings combine clusters of small black ancient beads that were once used for trading. The beads are daintily fastened to oxidized silver chaining. The total length of the earrings is 1”.

Designers David Reese and Ron Anderson originated the name Ten Thousand Things from a line in the Daoist philosophy that loosely translates to “One thing begets ten thousand things,” meaning that creativity is infinite. Before they combined their talents, Anderson sold his jewelry on the streets of SoHo, and Reese, who is a self taught jeweler, had been actively designing jewelry since 1984. Ten Thousand Things was formed in 1991 based out of NYC from their signature store in Chelsea. Buy the Small Black Ancient Bead Spiral Earrings through Ylang 23 for $145

Mizuki Yellow Pearl & Diamond Fringe Pendant

The South Sea Pearl is one of the finest pearls in the world and comes from the Pinctada Maxima oyster. These pearls are rare as the oysters are only found in the warm waters of Australia. South Sea Pearls get their allure from the thick iridescent nacre that accumulates layer by layer within the oyster. The pearl of this oyster is always perfect and uniform and typically varies between 10mm to 20mm in diameter. The South Sea Pearl comes in an array of colors such as cream, yellow, green, blue, and even black.

Jill Platner Axis Bracelet

Jewelry designer Jill Platner came to NYC from rural Massachusetts to attend the renowned Parsons School of Design. During her time at the school, she took a chance on a metalworking class. This is when she found her passion working with metals and it became her niche. In 1999, Platner opened up a store in SoHo that features her collections. She has a love of the sun and sea, so her designs are resistant to UV rays and salt water.

The Axis Bracelet, created by Jill Platner, brings an innovative look to cuffs. Platner designed this cuff with 13 sterling sliver vertical accents that are joined by two chocolate colored leather straps. Snap closures in sliver finish the bracelet. I like the Axis Bracelet for its clear-cut and original design. Buy through Barneys for $1,250.
