Dream Mullick Silver Crown of Light Ring

Designer Dream Mullick had her first experience with jewelry design during a trip to Indonesia. There she met a silversmith who was heating silver on a coal fire using his bare hands to bend and shape the sterling silver strands as his family had done for generations. Upon returning home to New Mexico, Mullick started her jewelry company and named it Dream Mullick. Continuing an age old tradition, her designs are handcrafted by fair trade Indonesian silversmiths.

The Silver Crown of Light Ring will have you looking like royalty.  A striking faceted red quartz stone is set in a sterling silver tiara band. With its unique shape, this bold 1” ring is a superb accessory. Buy for $113.

Joli Jewelry Olive Flower Basket Pin

The ideal pin should be a mix of daintiness and boldness. It’s a quick way to brighten a cardigan or jacket, and make a majestic statement. I found this look in Brooklyn designer Jody Lyons’ collection. Before she began designing jewelry, she worked at a drug rehab center, and later had her own private practice in this field. She began Joli Jewelry in 1984 after realizing that jewelry was her passion. Her designs are colorful, eclectic, and fun!

The handcrafted Olive Flower Basket Pin is elaborate in detail and has fascinating appeal. It’s made from 1930’s & 40’s deco glass, vintage plastic, and carved bone. The basket contains a bouquet of flowers and leaves adorned with colorful accents.  I adore this 2 ½” pin for its distinctive and lively design. Buy through Clay Pot for $50.

Ettika Phaistos Coin Silk Necklace

The Los Angeles designers behind Ettika are Ettie and Joey Rafaeli. They have built their collections by incorporating every single color in the rainbow to generate good energy around each design. Ettika’s jewelry is handcrafted in the US, and they only use the finest materials.  Celebrity fans of their designs include: Eva Longoria-Parker, Tyra Banks, Nikki Hilton, Halle Berry, Gwen Stefani, and Chris Judd.

Phaistos is an ancient city on the Mediterranean island of Crete. In 1908, archaeologist looking for artifacts in this ancient city found medallions called Phaistos Discs. They were said to date from the middle or late Bronze Era. Both sides of these coins were stamped with a spiral of symbols; its meaning to date remains unknown.

The Ettika Phaistos Coin Silk Necklace depicts the medallion found in the ancient city. This necklace is intriguing and brings a fascinating story about its design. The gold coin on this necklace is similarly stamped as the ancient ones were and hangs from a sky blue silk crimped rope. Buy through Max and Chloe for $63.

Gerard Yosca Black Emerald Large Cuff

The Emerald, which is a variety of the beryl mineral, is by far the most sought after gemstone. It’s also exceptionally valuable due to its durability, rarity, and enchanting green hue.  A deep green emerald is most desirable and is caused by chromium impurities in the stone. Emeralds symbolize serenity and peace of mind.

Designer Gerard Yosca has been developing his brand and designing high-end jewelry for 25 years.  Each collection is handcrafted with a unique and inspired design vision.  Yosca’s designs have been featured in publications such as Bazaar, Self, InStyle, Accessories, Essence, Wedding, and ELLE. He is known to be associated with other major fashion designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Nicole Miller, Ralph Lauren, and Tracy Reese. His Black Emerald Large Cuff is splendid. The cuff is made with lucite, adorned with crystal detail and a stunning emerald. Magnets are ingeniously used to secure this cuff. I adore this piece of jewelry for its boldness and beauty. Buy through Max and Chloe for $240.
