At the young age of 16, Danna Weiss was fascinated with crystals, which inspired her to launch her own jewelry line. New York-based designer Kara Ross is known for her fine jewelry and handbag collections. Ross launched her jewelry business after graduating from Georgetown and then attended the Gemological Institute of America to become an expert on stones. With this solid foundation in gemstones, she launched her jewelry business about 13 years ago and shortly thereafter had her first collection featured at five different Nieman Marcus stores. Three years later, Ross decided to create custom made high-end jewelry for distinguished clients. Now she designs handbags and fashion forward jewelry pieces made from gold and bronze.
