As a child growing up in Serbia, designer Gorjana Reidel began showing her creativity by knitting sweaters with her grandmother.  As a teen, Reidel and her family moved to Canada and then again to the US a few years later where she worked as a Ford fashion model. Jessica Hicks, the beloved Nantucket jewelry designer, started her career by chance when as a teen her mother encouraged her to do something creative during her school break in the summer time.
