M² Design by Mary Margrill Amethyst Love Ring

The Amethyst gemstone is a variety of crystalline quarts and comes in shades of violet, lilac or mauve. This stone received its name from the Greek word amethystos meaning “without drunkenness”. Amethyst was believed to help with sobriety and thus its name. Positive feelings and spiritual wisdom are also said to be the healing properties of the amethyst stone.

Handmade works of art combined with beauty and meaning is the foundation of M² Design by Mary Margrill. Her entire collection is engraved with a distinctive message to inspire us. In the Amethyst Love Ring, Margrill inscribed the word “love” on the band to remind us of what we are committed to in our lives. A faceted amethyst stone embellishes the sterling sliver ring. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $250.
