Self-taught designer Wendy Nichol made her debut in the fall of 2008 at NYC’s Fashion Week. Her line
of leather cuffs, delicate pearl necklaces, and elegant rings accented with studs was an instant hit. Now a year later Nichol’s tough yet feminine jewelry is being stocked at major shops like Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York.
Nichol used her trademark stud design to create the Pyramid Ring. This lustrous silver ring’s band is marked with spiky pyramids giving it a slick urban vibe. The Pyramid Ring is extremely versatile and you’ll find yourself wearing it all year-round. Buy through OTTE for $310 $93.

I’ve recently noticed the explosion of Lucite being used in designing bags, shoes, and jewelry. Lucite is a type of durable resin that was discovered by DuPont in 1931. Alexis Bittar is one such designer that uses Lucite in his jewelry collections. The hand sculpted Lucite® Square Bangle Bracelet is vividly luminous and features faceted lines for a sleek effect. This bangle is hand painted in an effervescent light turquoise hue. It also comes in dark teal, matte gold, red, rich berry, and warm grey. Buy through Nordstrom for $75 $36.90.

The Wendy Mink Jewelry line uses high quality materials with a Victorian & Indian design theme. Designer
Wendy Mink and her team of Tibetan jewelry artisans use hand-cut Indian stones, gold vermeil, resin, and sterling silver to create these stunning ethnic designs. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted in their NYC Tribeca studio. The Wendy Mink collection has been featured in publications such as Bazaar, Real Simple, Shape, Oprah, Glamour, Lucky, and many more.
The Filigree & Amethyst Chandelier Earrings are glamorous and surprisingly lightweight. The finely-spun 22kt gold vermeil contains a lively three-tiered pattern. Eleven amethyst drops embellish the base of these chandeliers that brings these lengthy earrings to a total of 3”. Buy the Filigree & Amethyst Chandelier Earrings through Wendy Mink Jewelry for $360.

Demitasse Jewelry was established in 2006 by Los Angeles designer Rachel White. In French, Demitasse literally means half-cup; it can also refer to either a small coffee cup or black coffee served in the cup. White’s collections are modeled after the splendor of antique silverware. In 2000, she came across an article written about flatware and felt that people had forgotten how to entertain at home with these magnificent utensils. She wanted to bring back the intricate metalwork of these pieces to jewelry and thus her jewelry line began. Demitasse’s fine serving utensils and tableware jewelry is primarily made with gold, sapphires, and diamonds. Her collections have been featured in major publications such as Food & Wine, People, Lucky, and Cosmopolitan, among others.
Historically, Absinthe is described as a distilled alcoholic beverage that has an anise flavor. It was the alcoholic drink of the 19th century France. Absinthe primarily has a natural green color and is commonly referred to as the Green Fairy. A sliver slotted spoon was used to dissolve sugar cubes in the absinthe to counteract its bitterness.
White’s Fairy Absinthe Spoon contains a pave diamond cut emerald to honor the Green Fairy drink. It comes in a choice of sterling silver, and 14kt gold in yellow, white or rose. The pendant can be purchased horizontally at 16” or 18” in total length or vertically at 18”. It is such a delicate and ornate necklace that can’t be passed up. Buy the Absinthe Spoon in 16” Horizontal Sterling Silver directly through Demitasse Jewelry for $165.
