After retiring from the National Ballet of Spain, designer Miguel Ases decided to
attend the Madrid School of Arts, where he pursued his passion for jewelry design. Ases is known to transform freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, sterling silver, and 14kt gold-fill into dazzling pieces of handmade jewelry. His collections have been featured in publications such as InStyle, Elle, Lucky, Harper’s Bazaar, among others. Some of the stars that adore his designs are: Jane Seymour, Susan Lucci, Heather Graham, Uma Thurman, Ashley Judd, and Kelly Ripa.
Ases’ Mother of Pearl Link Necklace is an intricate and bold design. He uses solid and cutout mother of pearl rounds that are connected with 14kt gold-fill link loops. Each cutout pearl is delicately adorned with faceted beads and a garnet stone. It’s 16” in length and comes with a 3.5” extender. I adore this handmade necklace for its multifaceted pattern. Buy through Bloomingdales for $172.50.
