Before launching Suzanna Dai Jewelry in 2009, Suzie Gallehugh worked for the Jones Apparel Group where she honed her skills in beading and embellishments. She began by sketching out images of fully finished pieces of jewelry while creating the exact beading technique for each particular style. At a young age, self-taught Croatian born jewelry designer Mirjana Cesar was already designing clothing and accessories for herself and her friends. After attending the University of Zagreb to study furniture design, she moved to Florida and began creating jewelry using freeform peyote stitch beading techniques. Later she launched Art Jewelry by Mirjana Cesar using this form of handmade stitching.
