The designer behind Azaara is Josef Arzili, who is of Persian and Turkish descent. He studied design at the Fashion Institute of Hamburg, Germany. Thereafter he moved to the United States and began working as an assistant buyer for fashion emporium Bullocks Wilshire. In 1978, Arzili decided to create his own jewelry line. These handmade collections contain materials such as sterling silver, copper, crystals, along with precious and semi-precious stones. In 2006, Arzili opened the Azaara Boutique on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, which has a vast following of celebrity clientele. Azaara has graced the pages of prominent magazines including InStyle, Town & Country, Cosmopolitan, Oprah, Marie Claire, Glamour, Lucky, and Essence.
The Swan Earrings from Azaara’s Porcelain Collection bestow vibrant colors and immense detail. These earrings contain a dainty flower that connects to a teardrop. Within the teardrop is a beautiful white swan resting in a bed of water surrounded by green leaves and a flower. Each piece of the jewelry in this collection is custom made to order. The jeweler delicately brushes enamel on 22kt gold-fill and then its fired. It is such a delicate process and when the enameling is done just right, the colors are astonishing! Buy directly through Azaara for $158.50.

Claudine Drescher began designing jewelry in 1999, and named her line Cousin Claudine. Drescher is the cousin of celebrity Fran Drescher, known for her work in the sitcom “The Nanny”. Claudine’s handmade designs are inspired by vintage images and natural materials. The characteristics of her jewelry are simplicity, timelessness, and diversity, which is why I love to wear her designs. Her jewelry can be seen on celebrities such as Debra Messing, Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa, Britney Spears, Molly Sims and many other famous women.
The Morgan Bead Necklace enhances your look without being overpowering. This necklace has a bit of ethnic inspiration since it’s made out of various sized brown wooden and gold metal beads that are strung on an elasticized cord. It’s 20” long, which allows this necklace to be doubled or left extending for a jazzy appeal. Buy through Intermix for $48.
